Coronation Street star Chris Fountain has proudly announced he completed the 2023 London Marathon after suffering a stroke in August last year.
The soap star, 35, who is best known for playing Tommy Duckworth in Coronation Street, took to Instagram on Sunday evening to share the news and emotionally told his fans how proud he is of himself for completing the race in less than four hours.
Chris posted a snap of himself beaming with pride while holding up his marathon medal and wrote: "I DID IT!!!!!!! From having a stroke in August to running a sub 4 hour marathon." He added: "I am beyond proud of myself.THANKYOU to everyone who cheered, donated, ran with me and everything else in between.
I’m so, so happy. Will never forget this feeling." Many fellow celebrities flocked to congratulate Chris, who ran the marathon to raise money for the Stroke Association.
