It's clear that in the face of the coronavirus pandemic football has to take a back seat, with the health of people around the world coming first.

With the packed nature of the football schedule though the measures put in place to halt the spread of COVID-19 have plunged the sport into chaos.

Today UEFA will hold a video conference with all 55 national associations, as well as the European Club Association, the European Leagues and FIFPro, the international players' union.

They'll attempt to find a way to conclude the 2019-20 football season and put plans in place for next term.It's almost certain that Euro 2020 will be pushed back, either to the winter or summer 2021, and it remains to be seen what will happen with the Champions League
