Coronavirus: Tom Hanks 'being kept company in quarantine by Wilson from Cast Away'

Tom Hanks ' fans are hoping he'll be reunited with his old pal Wilson from Cast Away as he battles coronavirus. The Oscar winner and his wife, singer Rita Wilson, both 63, are the first celebrities to test positive for the deadly virus.

He has assured fans he's taking all the safety requirements he can and that he and his wife will get through this one day at a time.

But hopefully he's not going through it alone. A comedy news site reported that staff at the Gold Coast hospital where he and his wife are in quarantine have presented him with a volleyball copy of his old friend Wilson.
