Coronavirus Scotland: Latest figures show 495 confirmed dead as Ayrshire cases show signs of slowing

dailyrecord.co.ukThe number of people who have died after contracting the coronavirus in Scotland has risen to 495, it has been announced today.That is an increase of 48 from yesterday.However, in the Ayrshire and Arran region just two more people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.The confirmation means that the total number of confirmed people with the deadly virus in the region has risen to 364.
Data released by the Scottish Government has also revealed 110 people in the region are in hospital - with 14 of those in intensive care.On Wednesday we revealed 27 people with coronavirus have tragically died in Ayrshire and Arran so far.A total of 5,275 people have now tested positive in the country - a daily rise of 318.
