222 people have now died from coronavirus in Scotland - an increase of 2 deaths overnight. The number of confirmed cases has risen to - 3961 up 255 from Sunday.A total of 199 Scots are in intensive care receiving treatment, it has been confirmed.Of the confirmed positive cases, 1599 people are in hospital which is an increase of 9.First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced the latest figures during a press conference today.
The news comes after Scotland's Chief Medical Officer resigned yesterday after flouting lock down rules.Dr Catherine Calderwood quit her role after photos emerged of her visiting her holiday home with family in Fife.
