An elderly pub-goer was delivered a keg of beer to his home thanks to his favourite local. Regular Cyril is often seen at the Empress pub in Hackney, London, but has been with out his favourite tipple due to staying at home because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The 90-year-old pub fan was missing his pint of Truman's beer, so the pub manager Michael stepped in. The publican also dropped off a box of his favourite crisps, to go with his keg.
Michael posted a picture of Cyril receiving his delivery to the Empress' Instagram page. The post read: "Cyril is not daft so he’s staying out the pub for a while.
We took the pub to him - a barrel of Truman’s racked up in his yard. "That and a box of crisps should keep him going for a week." Instagram
