Coronavirus in Scotland: 68 deaths as 2,622 new cases recorded in last 24 hours

Covid-19 in Scotland over the last 24 hours, official figures reveal today. In the same time period a total of 2,622 people tested positive for the deadly virus across the country.

There are currently 1,174 coronavirus patients in hospital and 70 in intensive care. The Scottish Government also confirmed that 10.1 per cent of the total number of tests carried out came back positive in the last 24 hours.Since the start of the outbreak a total of 127,453 people have tested positive for the deadly virus.The death toll for Scotland now stands at 4,578 since the start of the pandemic in March.Scots were warned earlier today to act as if they have coronavirus at Hogmanay by avoiding parties and staying indoors.Scotland’s ability to give people.
