Coronavirus: Colin Murray delivers groceries to elderly man with broken leg

BBC Radio 5 Live presenter Colin Murray carried out a touching act of kindness today during his show. On Saturday, Colin, 43, had a call-in on his show alongside Dr Chris Smith, where they heard from 74-year-old pensioner Brian.

Brian was recovering from a broken leg and was stranded in his home, unable to go out shopping or drive anywhere. Due to coronavirus panic, all the food delivery slots were booked up for several weeks, and most of Brian's friends were self-isolating and unable to assist him.

Upon hearing that Brian had very little food available in his cupboards, Colin Murray committed to dropping some groceries round at the pensioner’s house.
