One in 80 people in England have Covid as infections decrease in all but one region, according to the latest official figures.
The data comes from Office for National Statistics estimates relating to private households in England between January 31 and February 6.
It's the equivalent of 695,400 people. This is down from around one in 65 people for the period January 24 to 30. The infection rate decreased in all regions of England except for the South West in the week ending February 6.
In Wales, infections were at 1 in 85, Northern Ireland 1 in 75 and Scotland 1 in 150, during the same period, the ONS said. Data is compiled in conjunction with the University of Oxford, University of Manchester, Public Health England and Wellcome Trust.
