Over the last two years, viewers have watched Geoff become more aggressive with his wife, resorting to verbal abuse, control and intimidation to knock her confidence and make her submissive.
In Friday's episode, he pushed her too far after humiliating her in front of their friends, after burning all of her clothes and making her beg to stay in her own house.
