Coronation Street is set to deliver a hard-hitting storyline as the soap moves to a post-watershed time slot next week. Soap bosses are taking advantage of the fact Corrie is being moved to a later time, as The Masked Dancer airs nightly at 7pm on ITV.
Instead of airing at 7.30pm and 8.30pm three times a week, Coronation Street will be on for an hour at 9pm on Monday 31 May.
Half hour-long episodes will also air at 9pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Viewers should prepare for a bumpy ride as the episodes will include a brutal shootout involving Gary Windass (played by Mikey North) as he discovers the truth behind Sam Blakeman's kidnapping.
