Coronation Street's Sue Cleaver says 'I wish you knew' in candid message about her health

Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver has opened up about the "upset and frustration" one comment can cause as she spoke about her health.

The actress, who is famed for playing Weatherfield's Eileen Grimshaw, has Type 2 diabetes. Her diagnosis first became public knowledge back in 2011 when the soap star received hospital treatment after collapsing on the set of the ITV soap.

A spokesperson for Coronation Street told Mail Online at the time: “Sue felt ill on set and was taken to hospital as a precaution." Now, in a new Instagram post shared on Tuesday (June 11), Sue was heard talking about the condition ad she teamed up with Dexcom, a company that makes electronic diabetes management devices, and told what she "wishes you knew" about living with diabetes. It is not all about eating sugar. It's complicated." Sue also told how stress massively impacts her blood sugar, and said her glucose "skyrockets" before she is about to go on stage.
