Coronation Street bosses have had to dramatically rewrite Helen Worth's farewell scenes due to Sean Wilson, who portrays Martin Platt, unexpectedly quitting the ITV serial.Sean, a veteran on the show since 1985, was set for a return later this year to participate in Gail Platt's climactic Christmas storyline when Helen bids adieu to the Cobbles following an impressive fifty-year tenure.
