Coronation Street's Sair Khan supported by co-stars over 'tough' update as new mum shares snap of baby boy

Coronation Street star Sair Khan has shared a 'tough' update for the first time since becoming a mum. The actress welcomed her first child into the world last month with her partner Nathan Chilton.

Sair, who is known for playing Alya Nazir in the ITV soap, admitted she was feeling 'a real mix of emotions' when she announced she was pregnant back in December.

She kept much of her pregnancy out of the spotlight and as her exit scenes aired on-screen in Corrie, the new mum confirmed her son's arrival.

On May 11, the soap star took to Instagram to share the wonderful news that her son had been born. Sharing a trio of professional birth photos of her new arrival and her partner holding their bundle of joy, Sair wrote a lengthy caption detailing the birth and her experiences of motherhood so far.
