Coronation Street star Paddy Bever has revealed that the cast 'weren't allowed to know' exactly how Joel Deering's death would play out as Weatherfield's 'biggest-ever' whodunnit nears an end.
There were shocking scenes during Wednesday night's (November 13) edition of the ITV soap as Max Turner confessed to killing the solicitor with flashbacks showing the moment the teen confronted Joel on a railway track.
In the episode, DS Lisa Swain confided in Carla Connor that she believed she was being framed by Joel's killer after DC Kit Green arrested her earlier this week and she explained she was terrified that more planted evidence would turn up. But Carla reported them to the police and while they planned to go on the run, Lauren told Max she couldn't go through with it because of baby Frankie.
