Coronation Street’s Lydia star only realised how evil she is watching show back

Coronation Street actress Rebecca Ryan, who plays Weatherfield’s damaged Lydia Chambers, has confessed she didn’t realise how manipulative her character is until she watched herself back on screen.

Soap star Rebecca, 30, has been front and centre of the ITV show since arriving on the cobbles to make Adam Barlow’s (Sam Robertson) life hell.

After inventing a story that the pair were enjoying an affair behind his partner Sarah’s (Tina O’Brien) back, she successfully driven a wedge between the couple.

And in scenes that will air in the coming days, Lydia takes her revenge plan one step further when she pushes Adam off of a balcony, brutally leaving him for dead.
