Colson Smith said his upcoming departure from Coronation Street wasn't a surprise, as he opened up about leaving the show for the first time.
Earlier this week the Craig Tinker actor announced he would be leaving the soap after 14 years in a statement on Instagram on Monday (January 6) And on Wednesday (July 8), Colson spoke about his exit alongside Corrie actors Jack P Shepherd and Ben Price during the latest episode of their podcast, On the Sofa with Colson, Jack, and Ben.
In this week's episod the friends spoke about how Colson found out he was leaving, what could be next for the star, and how he told Jack and Ben.
The 26-year-old started off the podcast with: "It's about my secret that's now no longer a secret, we've kept it a secret since end of October." The actor admitted: "I got told in October that Craig Tinker's time has come to an end.
