Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney has teased wedding bells as she looks ahead to her character's future on the cobbles. The actress was reminiscing about her soap past before cheekily suggesting a wedding could be in her soap future.

As fans of the ITV soap know, Claire joined the Corrie cast last year as Cassie Plummer, the daughter of Evelyn Plummer and long-lost mum of Tyrone Dobbs.

She made her debut after Cassie tracked down her mum to the street, but when Evelyn spotted her, she ignored her. Later Evelyn received a call and was seen hurrying into A&E reception, explaining that her daughter had been admitted as an emergency after she overdosed.
