Former Coronation Street star Bruce Jones has said he 'can't watch' the popular ITV soap and told how he was approached by fans at a recent Manchester City game after it was revealed he was being axed.
It was revealed earlier this week that the 71-year-old actor's alter ego Les Battersby will die off-screen but he has hit out at the current quality of the ITV soap that he starred in from 1997 until 2007.
Bruce told GB News: "I had no time when I was there to watch it, because I was in it. But I sat and watched 'Corrie' with my wife on Monday night, and at the end of part one of that show I walked out the room and I didn't go back until I heard the music at the end.
I just couldn't watch it." READ MORE: Coronation Street fans demand 'don't' as they spot new couple ahead of 'seduction' ploy READ MORE: Read more of our Coronation Street stories here He added: "Where were the storylines?
