The actor took to social media to share a picture of himself after going under the knife to fix an ACL injury. The ACL is one of two ligaments that cross in the middle of the knee, connects your thighbone to your shinbone and helps stabilize your knee joint.
In the photo shared to his Instagram page, Alan, famed for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, could be seen giving a thumbs up for the camera.
He was propped up in bed with his left leg in a compression wrap. He also posted a phot of his leg before the surgery which had been penned with 'ACL' and an arrow ready for the surgeons to get to work.
