Coronation Street's Alan Halsall makes cheeky joke to Colson Smith after confirming hair transplant

Coronation Street star Alan Halsall couldn't help but joke about Colson Smith's recent hair transplant admission after undergoing a couple of procedures himself.

Colson, who is known for playing PC Craig Tinker in the ITV soap, took to social media on Wednesday (July 17) to show off his new look after having his hair transplant on Monday (July 15).

The actor explained how it's something he's wanted to do since noticing his hair loss aged 22. The now 25-year-old posed for a smiling snap and gave a thumbs up for the camera as he held up a mug which featured a Mr Men inspired character but the writing said: "Mr Hair Transplant." A transplant has been on my agenda since I first noticed my hair loss at the age 22! "Losing my hair at such a young age has been a tough thing for me to come to terms with, I instantly feel SOOO much better and more confident that I’ve taken a step to getting back my luscious strawberry blonde locks." He added: "When I first met @bessamfarjo in 2023 he helped me understand my hair loss and the future of my hair, I feel so lucky to now be on my hair journey with such a talented and friendly team based here in Manchester. @farjohairinstitute." His Corrie co-stars were among those to respond to the post including Alan, who plays Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap and is said to have had two hair transplants himself, one in 2016 then another in 2016.
