Coronation Street legend confirms final day on set as they leave soap after 14 years
ok.co.ukCoronation Street star Colson Smith has confirmed his final day on set after it was announced that he is departing the iconic soap after an impressive near 14-year stint.
Best known for his role as Craig Tinker, Colson has been a familiar face on the ITV series since he first set foot in Weatherfield back in 2011 as Beth Tinker's son, portrayed by Lisa George.
However, earlier this year, Colson took to social media to share that his journey as the beloved police officer is drawing to a close.The announcement both his on-screen mother and ex-girlfriend, played by Ellie Leach, make their exits.
Accompanying a snap of himself in uniform on X and Instagram, Colson revealed: "Autumn last year I was told that Craig Tinker's time on the Cobbles is to come to end in 2025." He continued, expressing his gratitude: "I've loved every single second of my 14 year stay as a resident on the greatest street in the world.
