Coronation Street star Julie Goodyear has slashed a staggering £100K off the asking price of her luxury home in a bid to sell it amid her dementia diagnosis. The actress, who played Bet Lynch in the hit ITV soap, put her Manchester mansion up for sale in October for £1.5 million.
The 83 year old initially reduced the fee by £100K but has now re-listed the rural farmhouse property for offers over £1.3 million, showing an additional £100K knocked off the asking price.
Julie has lived in the four-bedroom home for 25 years with her husband, Scott Brand, but made the decision to put it up for sale following her dementia diagnosis.
The soap star left fans stunned last year when her husband announced that she had been diagnosed with the condition. Since then, sightings of the Bet Lynch actress have been few and far between, with her last public appearance dating back to October 2023, before a rare public outing this summer.
