Viewers of the ITV soap were left 'sobbing' as they watched the much-loved character left for dead after a dramatic stand-off with the Weatherfield serial killer.
Tim has had Stephen's card marked for some time, particularly after his mother Elaine discovered that partner Stephen had taken out a life insurance policy in her name.
As viewers knew, Stephen, played by Todd Boyce, had been plotting to kill his fiancée on a trip to the Peak District. But Stephen's plans hit a stumbling block when Elaine saw Gail Platt's old family photos and saw one of his ex-wife, Gabrielle, who she realised she had caught a glimpse of on a Zoom call but Stpehen had pretended was a business associate.
