Coronation Street fans spot huge clue ‘confirming’ how Gail Platt leaves soap

Back in June, it was revealed that the Corrie legend would be saying goodbye to her role after an impressive 50-year stint. As fans grappled with the loss of such an icon, they were left pondering how the soap's writers would manage to write out such a significant character.
Originally, the plan was to bring back her ex-husband Martin Platt (Sean Wilson). However, after returning to the set and filming scenes, Sean was abruptly removed from production due to 'personal reasons'.
With scripts quickly revised, his role will now be taken over by comedian and actor John Thomson, who is making a comeback as Jesse Chadwick after a 14-year hiatus.
