Coronation Street fans have joked about 'confusion' as they reacted to the news of Violet Wilson's return. It's been 13 years since the character was last seen on-screen and it has been announced that actress Jenny Platt will reprise the role.
Violet was actually last seen in Weatherfield in 2008 16 years ago after she gave birth to her son, Dylan Wilson, with father Sean Tully.
Violet then moved to London with Dylan leaving the show. However, she later made a one-off appearance in an episode filmed on location in London in 2011, which is the last time we saw officially saw her but has often been referenced by Sean following Dylan's return to the street.
