Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) spotted Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) locking his wife Yasmeen (Shelley King) into their home during a terrifying display of control and manipulation.
However, moments later Eileen arrived in the pub, and failed to mention what she had seen. Instead, she claimed the two were having a fight – refusing to mention that Yasmeen was being held captive.
Over on Twitter, confused viewers pointed out the gaffe, taking to their keyboards to air their views on the nail-biting episode.
