Coronation Street legend Ken Barlow was grieving the loss of his beloved dog Eccles on Friday night. But he was left even more distraught when he received a hefty bill to pay for the pooch's treatment, and for her to be put down.
Eccles was a pretty old dog, originally belonging to Ken's mother-in-law Blanche before her death. Ken tried to sneak little Eccles into is new retirement home, but this didn't go to plan.
After 14 years on the ITV soap, Eccles was put to sleep on Wednesday leaving everyone including Ken devastated. Friday night saw him reeling from the loss, even lashing out at his retirement home enemy over comments about the loss.
