Disturbing scenes which aired last night on the ITV soap saw exhausted mum Gemma wake up to one of her quads Aled, who was crying.
She took him downstairs and, as he continued to cry, proceeded to put him in the washing machine. Gemma woke up with a start in the morning and was terrified to see him missing from his cot.
As she ran downstairs to check, Gemma discovered partner Chesney cradling Aled in his arms while he sat on the sofa. Many viewers found the scenes incredibly difficult to watch and according to The Sun Online, four complained to Ofcom.
