Police have launched an attempted murder inquiry after an early-morning blaze at a Scots home.Emergency crews descended onto the property on McKinlay Crescent in Irvine, Ayrshire, at 3.40am on Saturday, May 6.
Medics attended and a 59-year-old woman was found injured at the scene. She was rushed to University Hospital Crosshouse, where she has since been discharged.
Detectives investigating the blaze are treating the incident as attempted murder.They are appealing to anybody who may have been in the area at the time and anybody who may have witnessed something suspicious to come forward.
