Cops seize cocaine, dodgy cash and watches worth £116,000 during raid

Police have seized drugs worth an estimated £66,000 as well as dodgy watches and cash following a raid early today (July 11).

It follows a search warrant executed at an address in Stalybridge. Officers from GMP's specialist 'Op Challenger' squad smashed through doors at Pattern House, Castle Street, Stalybridge, during the morning and searches uncovered approximately 1.5 kilos of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of £66,000.

Also found inside the property were watches valued at around £20,000 and £30,000 in cash. A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, and money laundering. GMP's Op Challenger officers are tasked with tackling drug dealers across each division in Greater Manchester. Following this morning's raids, Detective Sergeant Ian Parker, of GMP's Tameside's Challenger team, said: "This was a fantastic morning for our team in taking tens of thousands of pounds worth of illicit and harmful products off our streets.
