Police have grabbed more than £9,000 in fake Scottish notes after a trick at Asda's self-checkouts.The fake £20 bills were used in Asda stores around Birmingham.The crooks only went for the self-scan machines in Asda shops but got caught when the tills spotted something wrong.Even though Scottish notes are often okay to use in England and Wales, these notes were found to be not real.South Yardley Police showed how big the crime was with a picture on X, formerly Twitter, with lots of the phoney notes in plastic bags.
