Police have launched an appeal for information following a fire at a bar in Motherwell. Fire crews were called to Bullfrog on Shields Road at around 3.45pm following reports that huge plumes of smoke could be seen billowing into the sky.
Two fire appliances were dispatched to the scene and the fire was extinguished. There have been no injures reported. Officers have described the blaze at the once favourite pub of former Celtic star Kieran Tierney as 'wilful.' They are appealing for anyone who was in the area or has dashcam footage to come forward and assist with their enquires.
Detective Constable Heather Gorman of Wishaw CID said: “Thankfully nobody has been injured as a result of this reckless act.
We are treating the fire as deliberate and are asking anyone with any information to come forward and speak to officers. “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw anything suspicious to contact us.
