The police officer who shot and killed a black man outside a drive thru burger restaurant in the US has been sacked. Garrett Rolfe has been dismissed for his role in the death of Rayshard Brooks, shot during an attempted arrest in the car park of a Wendy's in Atlanta, Georgia.
A second officer involved in the incident, Devin Bronsan, has been placed on administrative leave. Mr Brooks died in hospital on Friday night after a scuffle with the two officers, having allegedly failed a sobriety test and resisting arrest after falling asleep in his car.
