A police officer who shared a photo of his colleague in a bikini around the office shook his head as he was sacked from the force.Sexist David Jackson was dismissed without notice after a misconduct hearing found he breached the standards of professional behaviour around authority, respect and courtesy.

His misconduct related to repeated comments he made about a female member of staff that were undermining, sexist and misogynistic. The four-day misconduct hearing was held at Merseyside Police Headquarters in Everton.

The female cop - referred to as PCP - broke down in tears as she told the hearing how Constable Jackson's behaviour towards her had made her feel "mortified, belittled and worthless as a police officer".As reported in our sister title, the Liverpool Echo, he was accused of eight different allegations, including putting his hand in a colleague's face signalling for her to be quiet, calling her fat and a "token female" for being the only woman involved in a police operation.

The cop was also accused of making derogatory comments about sex workers when sharing a story with colleagues about how he'd cheated on his ex-wife while on their honeymoon in Thailand, by having sex with a sex worker on a lilo.A panel found the allegations to be true.
