Cooper Koch has an idea for a role! The 28-year-old Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story star spoke to THR at the Academy Museum Gala on Saturday (October 19) in Los Angeles.
During the discussion, he revealed he’d be down to take on the role of Patrick Bateman in a new version of American Psycho. Luca Guadagnino is reportedly in “final negotiations” to direct a new version of the satirical thriller, which originally starred Christian Bale in the role, via Deadline. Burns will reportedly write the upcoming script, which is said to be a “new adaptation” of the 1991 Bret Easton Ellis novel, rather than “a remake” of the 2000 movie. “Luca’s doing American Psycho, so I think I can do Patrick Bateman,” he said. “I haven’t played a serial killer yet so I think I could do it.” “Things are coming in, things are moving, things are happening, taking meetings, and the needle is threading so we’ll see, nothing is locked in or happening yet,” he added of new offers thanks to the success of his Netflix series.
In the interview, he also said his “favorite movie of the year” was Luca‘s Challengers. Cooper is also one of the stars fans are voting on for the next possible Prince Charming.
