David Worrall, 28, claimed his co-defendant Zak Bolland threw two bottles containing petrol into a house on Jackson Street in Walkden.
Bolland claims Worrall threw the first bottle, but accepts he threw the second. Four children from the Pearson family died in the fire, which happened at about 5am on December 11, 2017.
They were Demi, 15; Brandon, eight; Lacie, seven; and Lia, three. Manchester's courts are some of the busiest in the country with a vast array of cases heard every week.
