Conor McGregor admits he "can't go on" in worrying social media post following arrest

Conor McGregor has admitted he "can't go on" after he was arrested for allegedly exposing himself to a young woman in a bar.

The former UFC world champion was questioned by police in Calvi last Friday following the alleged incident during a heavy drinking session.

He was released without charge but could be re-arrested after the results of further tests are made available. McGregor, who has been training in the region for a 180km water voyage, took to Twitter in response to a user who had alerted him to a BBC story which called him "English".

The user said: "They can have him. The BBC is correct, [Conor McGregor] is English." McGregor, who is Irish, said: "[You work in] suicide intervention yet [you are] ridiculing me in this manner online,
