He was handed a start during the dramatic 3-2 win over Aberdeen, and admits Souttar helped him realise how lucky he was only two miss out of two months of action.
The Scotland cap has been hampered by fitness issues since making the move to Ibrox from Hearts, with the 26-year-old managing just one appearance so far for the club on the opening day of the season.
