Connor Barron insists he has no fears over running the Red Army gauntlet of hate after signing for Rangers. The 21-year-old Aberdeen academy product is the latest Dons star to cross the fierce rivalry divide to Ibrox.
It’s a move which has seen Scott Wright and Ryan Jack being singled out for vicious abuse by the Pittodrie boo-boys in recent years.
But Barron says he’ll handle any flak thrown in his direction when he returns to his hometown for the first meeting of the sides in October.The Scotland U-21 star signed a four-year deal with Rangers last week and is at the centre of a transfer tussle that could go to a tribunal after Pittodrie chiefs kicked out an initial offer of around £500,000.
And speaking to the media for the first time as a Gers player he insisted he won’t be fazed by the pelters from Pittodrie punters when he goes head-to-head with his old side in October.
