A fraudster who was jailed for selling fake bomb detectors has been released early from jail - and claims his only asset is now a lawnmower.
James McCormick, 64, reportedly raked in £50million by selling fake detectors for up to £27,000 a time. They were believed to be made from £13 novelty golf ball finders and his biggest market was in Iraq.
McCormick managed to buy multimillion pound properties, a yacht, holiday homes in Florida and Cyprus and horses worth £210,000 for his daughter with the makings of his scam.
He was jailed in 2013 but released last year after serving just half of his 10-year sentence and paying back just £5.9million, reports said.
