Concerns growing for Scots diabetic who went missing without his insulin

Concerns are growing for a missing Scots diabetic who vanished in Arbroath without his insulin.Alan Saunders, 40, was last seen in the Hill Street area of the Angus town at around 2pm on Thursday August 11.

The Arbroath man is believed to have access to a green Peugeot car, registration number P244 JDR. Scots have been asked to keep an eye out for the vehicle and to report any sightings of it to the police.Alan himself is described as being 5ft 6ins tall, of average build, with short grey hair and tattoos on both forearms.

When he was last seen he was wearing a cream-coloured t-shirt and shorts.Speaking to the Record, Alan's sister Kelly Hunter said the family was worried for Alan's health as he is diabetic and has left his insulin at home.

She said: "We haven't heard from Alan since 10pm on Wednesday, his phone's been switched off since then."We've got no idea where he's gone - we hope he's just in a house somewhere.
