Aldi has unveiled plans to build a brand new £5.3 million store in Kinross-shire, creating 35 jobs. The proposed development in Milnathort is set to create significant local full and part-time employment with further jobs during the construction process.
The 1800-square-metre store would be located at Auld Mart Road and includes 97 parking bays, with four electric vehicle and 10 cycle spaces.To coincide with the announcement, Aldi is also planning on delivering “a comprehensive consultation process” in the coming weeks to collate feedback from the local community.
Supermarket representatives say they have already written to over 3500 residents across Milnathort and Kinross regarding the plan.
Aldi will be hosting an in-person drop-in session on Wednesday, May 11 at the Milnathort Town Hall between 2.30pm–6.30pm.Then a virtual event will be held on Monday, May 16 between 5pm-7pm, where members of the public will be able to view proposals as well as ask questions and provide feedback to the project team in real time.The opportunity for members of the public to provide feedback will remain open until May 18.
