EXCLUSIVE: Lonnie Rashid Lynn, the musical artist, actor, author and activist known professionally as Common, has expanded his team of reps by signing with both CAA and Anonymous Content.
A rapper known for his intelligent, nimbly performed lyrics of political consciousness, who’s put over a dozen studio albums since the early 1990s, Common is the recipient of three Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a NAACP Image Award.
His Oscar came for Best Original Song “Glory,” which he penned for the film Selma, in which he also co-starred as civil rights leader James Bevel.
He also shared a songwriting nom with Diane Warren for the tune “Stand Up for Something” penned for the film Marshall. Currently starring alongside Rebecca Ferguson on Apple TV+’s sci-fi series Silo, which is heading into its fourth and final season, Common recently made his Broadway acting debut in Between Riverside and Crazy.
