Comedian Al Murray emotionally opens up on 7-year-old nephew Finley’s battle with a rare form of leukemia. Speaking on Lorraine, the 52-year-old praises his “incredibly brave” nephew who is battling juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML).
Al explains to host Lorraine Kelly, “He’s hanging on in there. I can’t tell you he’s well or anything, he’s very ill but he’s hanging on in there.” He adds, “They load him up with treatments and he takes it, he is an incredible little boy. “But he is seven, he wants to be running around playing football with his mates.” The Comedian says that Finley has had two blood stem cell transplants, but they have failed.The seven-year-old is now having chemotherapy in the hope that a third transplant will work.
