Bury performed and filmed their own rendition of Africa, by Toto. Led by Jennie Fairclough, head of performing arts, and Abbie Lynn, director of music for the vocal section, the project saw 14 current and graduating students sing their hearts out to pump some cheer back into the world.She said: “There was such a void of music and art as a result of the first lockdown, and even more so than ever now.“We just wanted to put something together to keep the arts alive and our students excited and invigorated in a barren landscape.“This was our way, under the new measures, of letting our community know that there is still hope and we can keep the arts alive.”Filming started in September, with performing arts technicians Lee Davies and Tom.
