Coleen Rooney narrowly missed out on becoming Queen of the Jungle, coming in second place to champion Danny Jones - however, the media personality is reportedly set to face a major blow to her prize money.The 38-year-old was rumoured to be receiving over £1.5 million to take part in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, setting a record as one of the highest-paid contestants ever.

However, it appears that a staggering half of those earnings could be handed over to the Australian tax man. Blick Rothenberg, experts in tax matters, have highlighted that celebs face a hefty 45 percent appearance fee tax in Australia.This means that Coleen could have to pay up to £750,000 of her prize money in taxes down under.

Veteran journalist Michael Buerk, who took part in the show back in 2014, expressed his own surprise at the sizeable cut claimed by the tax office.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Buerk relayed his experience: "I was offered I'm A Celebrity a few times and I didn't want to do it.
