Former Emmerdale star Jake Roche has revealed that he is currently living off Universal Credit and staying in his mum's garage amid the current cost of living crisis.According to The Mirror, the former soap star has branded himself a 'failure' as his current lifestyle is world's away from the fame and fortune he once flourished on.
The 30-year-old previously appeared on the ITV soap for a few months back in 2010, where he played Hannah Barton's friend Isaac Nuttal.
Jake also enjoyed a successful pop career, and was the lead vocalist of the band Rixton, who charted at number 1 on the UK Singles Chart with their hit, 'Me and My Broken Heart'.The 30-year-old star, who is the son of actor Shane Richie and his then wife, Loose Women panellist Coleen Nolan, now deems himself a 'failure' after his entertainment career was put on hold.
Jake, who was previously engaged to Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson, shared his thoughts about his career on TikTok after one user asked him what he was up to these days.To which the former soap star replied: "I'm on Universal Credit, and I live with my mum in her garage.
