Cole Palmer suggested that a new signing could push him out of the door at Manchester City after helping them win the Super Cup.
Palmer, who struggled for opportunities last season, started in his favoured position of the right wing after coming on to score in the Community Shield against Arsenal and bagged the equaliser in Athens.
City had been struggling to get their play going, yet Palmer struck with a looping header to ultimately earn them the penalty shootout that they proved clinical in to add another trophy to their collection.
Pep Guardiola refused to say after the game whether the player would stay at the club this season though, indicating that he would either remain part of the group or be sold.
