You wouldn't typically associate vegetables with your morning coffee. But Scallion Lattes have become one of the most unlikely food trends we've seen springing up recently.
The craze, which is believed to have come from East Asia, involves sprinkling spring onions over your coffee. Apparently, it provides some added crunch for texture.
And what's more, the sweet and sharp onions provide a bit of balance to the bitter beans. So would you give it a go? US and Australia-based brewers, Golden Brown Coffee, did just that recently.
The @goldenbrown.coffee barista explained: "This is a viral drink that came straight out of China. So, of course, yours truly has to taste it.
